A celebration of more than four decades of music
Across more than four decades, Christopher Painter has developed a substantial body of orchestral, chamber, solo, brass and wind music shaped by Welsh identity, landscape, memory and literature. Performed and broadcast in the United Kingdom and internationally, his music combines large-scale structural thinking with a strong sense of colour, atmosphere and dramatic momentum.
“The composer always surprises as each work is different — Painter refuses to be pigeon-holed.” — Jac van Steen
